Schedule & Format

This isn’t your average yoga teacher training. We blend structure with intuition—just like our classes. You’ll meet in person for immersive weekend modules, and flow through self-paced practices between sessions. Expect readings, reflections, self-observation, and integration at your own rhythm.

  • Total Hours: 200 (contact + non-contact + online sessions)

  • Format: Weekend modules + self-study + self-practice

  • Location: Burn & Bloom Studio, Anchorage, AK

  • Cohort Size: Small and intentional—for deep connection and mentorship

We believe in learning that lives in the body, breath, and bones. Expect movement, deep conversation, moments of silence, laughter, and breakthroughs.

What You’ll Learn:

This training isn’t about memorizing scripts—it’s about becoming a teacher who feels every word they speak. You’ll leave this program not only prepared to teach, but transformed by your own deepened practice.

  • Teach a safe, sequence-sound, alignment-based vinyasa class

  • Offer clear breath, cueing, and modifications for diverse bodies

  • Guide foundational pranayama and meditation practices

  • Understand anatomy, biomechanics, and injury-aware adjustments through a trauma aware lens

  • Weave philosophy and subtle energetics into accessible classes

  • Hold space that is ethical, inclusive, authentic and empowering

  • Build confidence through practice-teaching labs and feedback

  • Map next steps for teaching, personal practice, and service

What to Expect:

This training is not a one-size-fits-all journey—it’s a deeply embodied experience held with fire and softness.

  • A safe, inclusive space that honors your full self

  • Mentorship with AlisaMarie, founder and lead trainer

  • Rooted guidance in asana, breath, meditation, philosophy, and energetics

  • Practice teaching every module—yes, every one

  • Honest feedback and growth without perfectionism

  • Integration on and off the mat through journaling, ritual, and community

What we ask of you:

Show up: be open, committed and willing to explore the layers- physical, emotional, spiritual and energetic.

Methodology & Style

We’re not here to pump out cookie-cutter teachers. Our methodology is intentional, rebellious, intuitive, and rooted in tradition.

  • Alignment-based asana (Iyengar-informed, not dogmatic)

  • Breathwork as the thread connecting body, mind, and spirit

  • Subtle energetics + meditation for nervous system regulation and inner listening

  • Embodied philosophy—because yoga doesn’t stop at the mat

  • Teaching skills: cueing, sequencing, theming, voice, space holding

  • Trauma-informed principles: props, variations, consent-based assists, safety

Our Mission:

At Burn & Bloom, we honor the ancient truth that life is woven from opposites—burn and bloom, challenge and renewal. This training isn’t about being the “perfect yoga teacher.” It’s about becoming someone who can hold sacred space—for yourself and for others—in both fire and flower.

We’re here to develop teachers who can lead skillful, embodied classes and hold brave, healing space for transformation.
